PRECIOUS TIME
If there was any doubt in anyone’s mind that time is the most precious modern-day commodity, the fact that we’re almost half-way through the year is a sure way to reinforce that belief. Time is also the one thing we all receive in equal measures, but how we spend it is of course another matter altogether. Admittedly, I sometimes make myself guilty of procrastination, and then wish I could turn the clock back. Alas, as Benjamin Franklin once famously said, “You may delay, but time will not.”
Someone who has spent her time since a very young age to reach her goals is this month’s cover personality, Rolex Testimonee Caroline Wozniacki. The Danish tennis player bagged her first Grand Slam tennis title earlier this year in Melbourne, and also formerly held the No 1 position in singles on the WTA Tour. Caroline is no stranger to Thailand – she has been here twice to take part in the World Charity Invitation in Hua Hin, where I had the pleasure of meeting the bubbly and energetic beauty.

Another interesting interview this month is with Thai hair salon tycoon Mark Thawin. I bumped into Mark last year in Venice at Bulgari’s Festa high jewellery launch, where a very special necklace – called the “Monete Regal Festa” necklace – caught his attention. Mark talks to us about his love for Bulgari and why he couldn’t resist splurging “tens of million of Baht” on this extraordinary creation.
