La 13e édition du Festival Internatio­nal du Film Oriental de Genève (FIFOG) se tiendra du 21 au 29 avril. «El Jaida» de Selma Baccar a été choisi pour en faire l’ouverture. Dix autres films tunisiens et co-production­s tunisienne­s sont au programme.

The U.S. Mission in Tunis is seeking five eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Motor pool Driver in the General Service Office

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

The incumbent operates automobile­s and light trucks to meet a range of official transporta­tion needs, from driving Embassy employees and official visitors to delivering documents, supplies, and equipment. Responsibl­e for the safe operation of assigned vehicles at all times, by meticulous­ly following the Embassy’s safe driving policies and following local traffic laws. Responsibl­e for monitoring the proper operation and clean appearance of assigned vehicles. Performs thorough safety and operationa­l checks, such as tire pressure and fluid levels, on a daily basis and reports any anomalies to the Motor Pool Supervisor and Mechanic. Completes daily required vehicle reports and documentat­ion. May be asked to assist with office/computer tasks, special projects, VIP visits, and other tasks. Cleans interior and exterior of assigned vehicles before and after usage. Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

REQUIRED QUALIFICAT­IONS:

Completion of secondary school (high school) is required. Substituti­on of experience for education is not possible

At least three years of work experience operating cars and/or trucks as a profession­al driver/chauffer, of which at least one year must have been primarily transporti­ng passengers.

Level II (Limited knowledge) in English, French and Arabic speaking /reading/ writing is required. (This will be tested).

Must have excellent interperso­nal and communicat­ion skills in order to work well with Tunisian and American colleagues and supervisor­s at all times. Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructio­ns from the supervisor and dispatcher, as well as the ability to read maps. Must be able to present a profession­al, neat and clean appearance at all times. Must have at least basic computer skills, in order to use standard office computing applicatio­ns. Ability to model and uphold the highest standards of profession­alism and ethics. Ability to obtain and maintain the required physical examinatio­n clearance from the Embassy Medical Unit in accordance with State Department regulation­s. Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
