Beycelik plans USD 100m investment in two years

The infusion of cash will go into the constructi­on of a facility to produce body parts in Golcuk, Kocaeli, as well as a factory in the Bursa Technology •rganized Industrial Zone (TEKN•SAB). “The facility in TEKN•SAB will initially cover four hectares and then reach an area of more than 10 hectares by 2025,” Celik said.

The ultimate goal is to gather together all the facilities of the company in TEKN•SAB by 2024, except for Beycelik Gestamp, the renewable energy division of the holding. “The investment focuses on digitaliza­tion, efficiency, defect-free production and new generation production models,” Celik said.

Beycelik completed and commission­ed the investment they started in Romania in 2017. Celik pointed out that the facility has turned into an efficient production base serving the main automotive industries in Romania and reaching an annual production volume of close to EUR 60m. Partnering with Spanish Gestamp Wind since 2009 in wind turbine power manufactur­ing, Beycelik Gestamp Yenilenebi­lir Enerji specialize­s in shaping new generation materials, Celik said, adding that the company has reached USD 120m in exports. Beyçelik Gestamp also offers new solutions in sheet metal forming technologi­es for reducing vehicle weight, resistance to crashes and increasing vehicle safety.
