TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS KILL 3,021 IN FIRST 10 MONTHS OF 2017
In the first 10 months of 2017, 3,021 people died in 344,332 traffic accidents, according to the figures by police. Statistics show an average of 11 people died daily in accidents. More than 259,000 people were injured in accidents across the country. Figures, almost near the average number of people who are killed every year in traffic accidents, indicate the dire state of traffic safety in the country. Authorities and experts blame reckless driving for most of the accidents. In October alone, 299 people died in accidents. Statistics show the majority of accidents stemmed from drivers crashing into parked vehicles.
