More than 259,000 people were injured in accidents across the country. Figures, almost near the average number of people who are killed every year in traffic accidents, indicate the dire state of traffic safety in the country. Authorities and experts blame reckless driving for most of the accidents. In October alone, 299 people died in accidents. Statistics show the majority of accidents stemmed from drivers crashing into parked vehicles.
