SMEs account for 52% of total employment n develop ng econom es, compared w th 41% n developed econom es, the ILO sa d.
“The global unemployment rate stands at 5.8%, and s not expected to drop any t me soon,” ILO warned. “Desp te some progress over the past decades, nearly 780 m ll on workers n emerg ng and develop ng countr es (correspond ng to almost every th rd worker) are st ll l v ng n cond t ons of extreme or moderate poverty,” sa d the report.
