Turkey ready for Eid ul Adha

A total of 1.2 million cattle and 3.5 million sheep/goats are ready for slaughter, according to Bekir Pakdemirli, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. “Last year, a total of 800,000 cattle and 2.7 million sheep/ goats were slaughtered in Turkey for Eid ul Adha so the sector is ready for 50 percent more every year,” he said. All the necessary measures in animal markets and slaughterhouses were taken, Pakdemirli added. People will not be allowed to enter the animal markets without masks and customers will be given hand sanitizers.
