We are going through the days when we need solidarity as a nation because of the global New Type Coronavirus ( COVID- 19) pandemic that also affected our country. While social isolation continues throughout the world, many people got severely sick or even lost their lives, creating deep anxiety, grief and stress in all of us. As COVID- 19 brings many sectors to a halt, it causes a decline in the global economy. Unfortunately, the lubricant sector, which operates on a global scale, was also unfavorably affected by this crisis.
As the cover topic of this issue, Total Turkey Pazarlama, which has been operating in the lubricant sector in Turkey for 30 years, has renewed its advanced oil analysis system ANAC series. In addition to intracity and intercity transportation, it offers new solutions tailored to the needs of fleets serving the agricultural and construction machinery sectors.
Fuchs and BASF collaborated for a holistic sustainability assessment and more sustainable lubricant products.
Shell Indonesia has doubled the production capacity of its world- class lubricant oil blending plant ( LOBP) located in Marunda Centre, near
Jakarta. Upon completion, the plant will be capable of producing up to 300 million litres of finished lubricants annually across the
9- hectare site. This expansion will enable Shell to meet the growing demand of the domestic lubricants market.
It is obvious that there will be positive developments in Turkey and in the world for our sector. The new type Coronavirus ( COVID- 19) showed all of us how important cooperation is, that health comes first and that applicable crisis communication plans need to be done in institutions. According to the current conditions we have decided to open a temporary digital membership of our magazine to our dear audience. We hope that pretty soon this pandemic and its devastating impacts on people and economies will be over. In this regard, we believe that the global response and effort in fighting COVID- 19 will help to defeat the virus and safeguard people's lives, their livelihoods and the economy.
