Çingene Kızı Mozaiği’nin toplam 1,3 ton ağırlığındaki parçaları, Türk Hava Yolları’nın özel kargo operasyonlarında uyguladığı teknikler ile uçuşa hazırlandı. Dokusu zarar görmesin diye özel ambalajlara sarılıp ahşap sandıklara yerleştirilen12 parça, Boeing 777-300ER tipi yolcu uçağı ile İstanbul’a getirildi. Bu özel operasyon nedeniyle uçağa başka kargo alınmadı.

The pieces of the "Gypsy Girl" mosaic (1.3 tons in total weight) were prepared for the flight based on the procedures practiced by Turkish Airlines for its special cargo operations. The 12 pieces were wrapped in exclusively designed packaging and meticulously placed inside wooden crates to preserve their historical integrity. They were brought to Istanbul aboard a Boeing 777-300 ER passenger aircraft. Since this shipment requires utmost care, no other cargo was admitted.
