Those who add value to natural stone through design and export experienced award enthusiasm at the Natural Stone Gala Night organized by the Aegean Mineral Exporters Association.

At the Natural Stone Gala Night, the winners of the AMORF Natural Stone Project and Design Competition, organized by the Aegean Mineral Exporters Association for the 4th time this year with the slogan “Those Who Add Art to Stone”, received their awards, while the 30 companies that exported the most in 6 categories among EMİB members in 2022 also received awards. .

Businessman Şuayp Demirel, who spent a lifetime as an exporter in the Turkish natural stone industry and made great contributions to the technology and development of marble, was given the Aegean Mineral Exporters’ Association Honor Award.

In the Amorphous Natural Stone Project and Design Competition, Ömer Akkaş won the first place with his Cycle project, Alican Çalman and İrem Atalay won the second place with the MarbleMetrics Project, and Çağla Yıldız, Mehmet Bulut and Abdulkadir Eren Öztürk won the third place with the project called SALT.

Speaking at the Natural Stone Gala Night held at the Historical Coal Gas Factory Campus, İbrahim Alimoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aegean Mineral Exporters Association, stated that they included the professional category in the Amorphous Natural Stone Project and Design Competition, which they organized for the fourth time this year, and that they were happy to receive more participation than previous years with 292 applications. .

“We carry the flag we inherited from our previous President Mevlüt Kaya with great pleasure,” said Alimoğlu, adding, “As a result of the evaluations made by our jury, 22 projects made it to the finals. While our jury determined the top three projects among our 22 projects, all three of our projects were deemed worthy of the jury’s special award. “We congratulate all the participants who added value to our competition,” he said.
