As per data released by the General Administration of Customs, China’s total amount of stone imports and exports in 2018 reached USD 9.189 billion and 43.85 million tons. In spite of global economic stagnation, the annual growth in China’s GDP still hit 6.6%. Xiamen port accounted for nearly 60% of China’s stone import volume and became the largest stone production base and distribution center.
