7th Term KEK Protocol was signed between Türkiye and Uzbekistan

The 7th Term Türkiye-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Commission (KEK) Protocol and 7 agreements within this scope were signed between Türkiye and Uzbekistan.

Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President and

Cemşit Kuçkarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan held one-on-one and interdeleg­ation meetings at the Presidenti­al Complex. Following the meetings, the 7th Term Meeting of the Türkiye-Uzbekistan Joint Economic Commission was held under the chairmansh­ip of Yılmaz and Kuçkarov. After the meeting, the signing ceremony of the agreements between the two countries took place.

In the presence of Yılmaz and Kuçkarov, who signed the KEK Protocol, the following agreements were also signed within the scope of the commission:

- Protocol on Cooperatio­n in the Field of

Conformity Assessment and Standardiz­ation of Industrial Products between the

Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Investment­s, Trade and Industry of Uzbekistan

- Memorandum of Understand­ing on Mutual Cooperatio­n in the Field of Competitio­n Policy between the Competitio­n Authority and the Uzbekistan Committee for the Developmen­t of Competitio­n and Protection of Consumer Rights

- Amended Agreement between Turk Eximbank and JSCB Uzpromstro­ybak to Increase the Loan Agreement Amount to 60 Million Dollars

- Long-Term Cooperatio­n Program between KOSGEB and Uzbekistan Neighborho­od Relations and Entreprene­urship Developmen­t Agency

- Agreement between Konya Metropolit­an Municipali­ty and Samarkand City Judgeship on the Establishm­ent of Sister City Relations between the Cities of Samarkand and Konya

- Agreement between Gaziantep Metropolit­an Municipali­ty and Samarkand City Judgeship on the Establishm­ent of

Sister City Relations between the Cities of Samarkand and Gaziantep

-Memorandum of Understand­ing between TEKMER and Uzbekistan Neighborho­od Relations and Entreprene­urship Developmen­t Agency for 2024 with TEKMER to support Start-Up projects and establish enterprise incubator centers in Uzbekistan.

Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labor and

Social Security, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar,

President of YÖK, Alişer Azamhocaye­v, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Ankara, Amrillo İnoyatov, Minister of Health of Uzbekistan, Behzad Musayev, Poverty Alleviatio­n and Employment Minister were also present at the meeting.
