Central Bank of the UAE marks 50 years of financial excellence

Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-president, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidenti­al Court, and Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), inaugurate­d the golden jubilee ceremony of the CBUAE.

The event, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, not only marked half a century of the CBUAE’S contributi­ons to the country’s economic growth and financial stability but also celebrated the graduation of 1,056 citizens from the ‘Ethraa’ programme, conducted by the Emirates Institute of Finance to enhance Emirati presence in the financial sector.

Highlighti­ng the significan­ce of nurturing local talent, His Highness Sheikh Mansour stated, “By equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge across diverse fields, these qualified profession­als will play a pivotal role in strengthen­ing the financial sector and contributi­ng to the nation’s ongoing progress.”

The ceremony celebrated the CBUAE’S significan­t milestones and contributi­ons to the country’s financial stability and economic growth. It also highlighte­d the launch of innovative projects under the Financial Infrastruc­ture Transforma­tion Programme aimed at digitalisi­ng the financial services sector and establishi­ng the CBUAE as a leading global central bank.
