Central Bank of the UAE marks 50 years of financial excellence
Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-president, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE), inaugurated the golden jubilee ceremony of the CBUAE.
The event, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, not only marked half a century of the CBUAE’S contributions to the country’s economic growth and financial stability but also celebrated the graduation of 1,056 citizens from the ‘Ethraa’ programme, conducted by the Emirates Institute of Finance to enhance Emirati presence in the financial sector.
Highlighting the significance of nurturing local talent, His Highness Sheikh Mansour stated, “By equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge across diverse fields, these qualified professionals will play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sector and contributing to the nation’s ongoing progress.”
The ceremony celebrated the CBUAE’S significant milestones and contributions to the country’s financial stability and economic growth. It also highlighted the launch of innovative projects under the Financial Infrastructure Transformation Programme aimed at digitalising the financial services sector and establishing the CBUAE as a leading global central bank.
