Al Marri lauds crime detection rate of Criminal Evidence Department
MAJOR General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, commended the General Department of Criminal Evidence and Criminology for its significant contributions to law enforcement in the emirate of Dubai.
During his recent inspection of the department, Al Marri praised its role in solving numerous complex crimes, attributing its success to the thorough analysis of scientific evidence. Notably, the department achieved an impressive 99 per cent crime detection rate in both 2022 and 2023, a testament to its efficiency and professionalism.
The inspection visit was conducted in the presence of Major General Ahmad Thani bin Ghalita Al Muhairi, Director of the General Department of Forensics and Criminology at Dubai Police, along with his deputies Brigadier Expert Ahmed Matar Al Muhairi for Technical Affairs and Brigadier Makki Salman for Administrative Affairs; Brigadier Dr Saleh Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; and Brigadier Khaled bin Sulaiman, Deputy Director of the Organisational Office of the Command; as well as directors of subordinate departments and several officers.
Al Marri underscored the importance of the department’s work in apprehending perpetrators and ensuring justice through solid evidence. Moreover, Al Marri highlighted Dubai Police’s commitment to continuously enhancing its human resources by investing in advanced scientific training for personnel.
