Luxury brands stack up in Jeddah
ROCCO FORTE HOTELS’ ASSILA HOTEL in Jeddah will officially open on February 1 – as more luxury brands prepare to open up in the Saudi city.
Occupying two towers, Assila Hotel consists of 147 deluxe, superior deluxe and executive rooms, 63 suites and 94 fully-serviced residential suites.
The hotel serves fine dining at the Twenty Four restaurant and home-made Italian patisseries, ice creams and cakes at Il Caffé coffee lounge, both open 24 hours daily, along with traditional Arabic mezze at Al fresco on the terrace overlooking Tahlia Street.
Langham Hospitality Group plans to open a Jeddah hotel in the summer of 2018 which will contain 238 rooms and 39 suites. F&B will include a Mediterranean-inspired seafood restaurant with an open terrace; a high-end grill concept with a chef’s table and a dry-aged meat locker display; traditional afternoon tea at Palm Court; a specialty lounge featuring a cigar humidor and a specially designated, air-conditioned smoking room; and the all-day dining restaurant featuring international cuisine.
Minor Hotel Group’s Anantara brand will also make its Jeddah debut in 2019. The waterfront property, which will contain 226 rooms and 102 two-to-five-bedroom villas, is unusual in that it will have two receptions and lobbies – one dedicated for VIP arrivals. A 500sqm meeting room, divisible by two, will be available along with two meeting rooms.
