COLOURFUL OPENINGS AS DUBAI RINGS IN EXPO YEAR

-

RADISSON RED IS poised to make its debut in Dubai Silicon Oasis, promising a ‘playful twist on conventional hotel stays’.

The modern property, in the heart of Dubai Digital Park and built with AI and IoT technologies, contains 104 rooms, eight suites and 59 apartments and F&B includes the all-day dining OUIBar Terrace, signature drinks at the RED Roof bar and ‘ Van rouge’ street food truck. Rooms contain 55-inch TVs suitable for streaming and there are fitness and pool facilities.

Corporates’ eyes will be drawn to the 10 hi-tech event spaces, including a 600sqm Smart multi-space, and the unstuffy approach extends to management, where ‘Curator’ is preferred to ‘General Manager’.

Another hotel fresh off the blocks is The Manor by JA, which is due to open in Dubai’s Al Furjan district early 2020. The four-star hotel, close to JAFZA and targeting EXPO visitors, will focus on the corporate segment “with competitive rates and contemporary design”, according to JA Resorts & Hotels.

Each room is equipped with a slimline workstation, comfortable Queen size bed, practical seating area, ‘futuristic’ coffee station and a sleek industrial bathroom while the façade resembles a classic country house (two bedroom suite pictured, above). Categories include Simplicity, Clarity and Priority, tieing in with business and productivity terms, and a 180sqm suite on the first floor comes equipped with a gym and rooftop pool. F&B outlets are to be announced, but are likely to be geared towards popular and convenience dining. The 360-key Avani Ibn Battuta Hotel is another newcomer, located next to the mall, and features three room types (Superior Twin, top right). ME Dubai, the first ME by Meliá hotel in the Middle East, aims to open next month ( inset).
