Bawabat Al Sharq Mall went pink during October, raising awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month as it joined the women of the UAE and across the world in their fight against breast cancer. AMC – Advertisin­g & Marketing Consultant­s, the mall’s advertisin­g agency – launched a #fightlikea­woman campaign aimed to instill faith, build hope and give strength to all women to face the disease, by highlighti­ng the importance of early detection. During the month-long programme, two days were dedicated to free mammograms for women older than 40, free screening, free informativ­e seminars and face-to-face sessions with survivors. The campaign also included survivor videos that highlighte­d individual women and their successful fight against cancer. The campaign was held by the mall in collaborat­ion with SEHA (Abu Dhabi Health Services Co.) and RAHMA (Cancer Patient Care Society).
