JHANVI’S STARS
It’s not Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt or Katrina Kaif, but Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan, who are the favourites of the paparazzi and social media these days. There is so much curiosity regarding the debut of their movies. There is a buzz that Jhanvi will make her debut with the remake of the Shailene Woodley starred The Fault in Our Stars. The movie also star’s Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khattar. Karan Johar will produce the film and Shashank Khaitan will direct it if reports are to be believed. This will be Ishaan’s second film, after his debut in Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds. Sara too was in the running for the young love story, but she made an exit from the movie.
RICHA ESSAYS PREITY?
Ever since the teaser of the web series Inside Edge came out, there is a whisper that Richa Chadha who plays ‘Zarina Malik’ who is a superstar and team owner of the cricket ‘Mumbai Mavericks’ is essaying the role of Preity Zinta. The team, however, has denied the news.
Inside Edge is launched by Excel Media & Entertainment in association with Amazon Prime Video. The show has Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Sanjay Suri, Angad Bedi, Sarah Jane Dias, Sayani Gupta and Amit Sial in pivotal roles. Bangistan director Karan Anshuman is directing the series. It is interesting to see that Bollywood is opening up big time to the digital medium. There is a buzz that Saif Ali Khan might headline a show on Netflix soon. Apparently, he has been roped in for a web series based on a book called The Secret Game: A Wartime Story of Courage, Change, and Basketball’s Lost Triumph.
SUSHANT IS IN A RUSH
Failure is hard for anyone and everyone! No wonder, Sushant Singh Rajput was taken aback when his film
Raabta recently fell flat at the box office. This film was important for him because it portrayed him as a romantic lead after a long time. According to industry sources, the actor has now cancelled his long foreign vacation trip as he wants to get back to work mode and calm his mind. He is next film is with Abhishek Kapoor. Sushant and Abhishek are coming back together after Kai Po Che. They had a fall out in between, but things are said to be fine between them now. Apparently, Sushant wants Abhishek to hurry up and start the production.
SRK AND SALMAN GIVE IT ALL
Salman Khan’s Tubelight had an extremely important( though not satisfying) cameo by Shah Rukh Khan. Their great friendship is not just limited to spending time with each other off the camera these days. There is a buzz that Salman will do a special song in Shah Rukh Khan’s next which is being directed by Anand L Rai and co-stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. Apparently, this will be a big budgeted song featuring Salman and Shah Rukh together. At this rate, we won’t be surprised if they sign a full-fledged movie together very soon.
