John Lloyd and Sarah G reunite

Sparks fly as the phenomenal on-screen chemistry between favourite rom-com leads John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo once again lights up the big screen with their upcoming movie Finally Found Someone.

Directed by Theodre Boborol, the movie tells the story of PR strategist, Raffy (John Lloyd Cruz), who recently got demoted from his job because of an event mishap. Determined to prove his worth, he takes on the PR case of April (Sarah Geronimo), a woman who went viral when she caused a scene after being stood up at the altar.

The film marks the reunion of Sarah and John Lloyd after their 3 successful movies together namely: A Very Special Love (2008), You Changed My Life (2009) and It Takes a Man and a Woman (2013), all produced by Star Cinema and Viva Films.

In a recent press conference both actors were asked about possibilities of falling in love off-screen in the years that they have worked together.

Geronimo shared that she did harbor a crush on Cruz back when they worked together in A Very Special Love, a 2008 romantic comedy that gave birth to their love team’s devout following.

Geronimo, who is now in a relationship with actor Matteo Guidicelli, turned giddy as she said that she felt “joy” whenever she would see Cruz breaking into a smile.

She did clarify that this doesn’t necessarily mean that her feelings were romantic, saying that they’re better off as friends.

John Lloyd Cruz for his part acknowledged that his friendship with Finally Found Someone co-star Sarah Geronimo could have blossomed into something more, if only circumstances did not stand in the way.

Finally Found Someone debuts in Philippine theaters by the end of July, and will be showing in the Middle East starting August 3.
