Tough Times for sidharTh
Sidharth Malhotra made a dream debut with Student of the Year and followed it up with fairly decent movies like Hasee Toh Phasee, Ek Villain and Kapoor & Sons which did decent business at the box office as well. But lady luck soon stopped smiling at him and his movies started bombing left, right and center. Baar Baar Dekho, A Gentleman, Ittefaq, Brothers, and Aiyaary flopped at the box office. We hear that he did go back to his mentor Karan Johar asking for a movie but apparently Karan is not in a mood to work with him right now. Currently, Sidharth has a biopic on Captain Vikram Batra in his hand.

It seems that Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty are having some creative differences during the making of their co-production Simbaa starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. As per our industry source, Rohit has made it clear that he doesn’t want any help from K Jo on how he should make the film. Their genre of movie making is poles apart and hence the director of the movie Rohit wants his space and comfort to do his job peacefully. Well, Rohit surely knows how to bring in moolah via his entertaining movies. And far as we know, Karan is a sorted producer who will never interfere in another person’s work. And two different people can absolutely find a way to co-exist.
sonam’s wedding deeTs
It seems that Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are finally getting married either by this month’s end or the first week of May. The couple has been dating for quite a while and are quite open about their relationship as they often share pictures from their vacations on social media. No official announcement has been made as yet regarding their wedding. There was a buzz that they were getting married in Geneva but now it seems that Mumbai is the final wedding destination for their big fat wedding. Apparently, Farah Khan is in charge of choreographing the sangeet ceremony. There will be a wedding reception in Delhi as well since Anand belongs to the capital. Sonam is also gearing up for the release of her home production Veerey Di Wedding with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar. Interestingly, the film is about four friends who are attending a wedding and is slated to release on June 1st. Wonder if there are any realto-reel life inspirations behind it?
KarTiK To worK wiTh sLB?
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star Kartik Aaryan might soon be seen in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. As per reports in Indian media, he was recently spotted outside the Padmaavat maker’s office. It seems that Bhansali wanted to cast Kartik in one of his home productions but somehow that movie never got made. Kartik’s films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has done great business at the box office and all this success has positioned Kartik as a bankable actor. It is being speculated that their collaboration will be a romantic film.
