Iza Calzado and Martin Nievera to host new shows

ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel, has launched the ANCX lifestyle segement to provide viewers with a good mix of daily news, business, and lifestyle programmes. The lifestyle programmes will be led by State of the Art,a first-of-its-kind art show, hosted by actress Iza Calzado.

Calzado will share stories of local artists as well as other art and design topics. Meanwhile, Philippines Concert King Martin Nievera will make his late night TV comeback with a new show called LSS: The Martin Nievera Show.

Other new international programmes that made their debut on the ANC-X block are The Art Show, and a show on beverages hosted by Matthew Goode and James Purefoy.

“While we specialise in serious undertakings like general news, government, business, our wall-to-wall political coverage, we also know that our audience want a break from all the serious stuff,” said Ging Reyes, ABSCBN Integrated News and Current Affairs Head and ANC Managing Director.

“This will be the lifestyle and travel arm of the current ANC website. There will be published content related to international travel, dining here and abroad, watches, cars, and socially relevant content that will interest the modern, successful man,” said ABS-CBN Lifestyle Ecosystem Head Paolo Pineda.

Also included in the line-up are shows like Executive Class with David Celdran, the travel and adventure show Asian Air Safari with Capt. Joy Roa, the urban lifestyle programme Green Living and the motoring show Rev both hosted by Paolo Abrera.

Locally-produced fare such as the travelogue-cum-cooking show Show Me the Market with Chef JP Anglo and food expert Joel Binamira, and the magazine programme Beached with Maggie Wilson and Marc Nelson will also debut on ANC-X.
