I’ve always envied people who can sing (beautifully i.e.) and dance without a care in the world. Imagine having the talent to stop people in their tracks with your music or make the whole room go quiet with amazement when you take to the dance floor. I haven’t stopped humming my favourite tunes from ABBA since last week when we did a cover on Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (I can’t even type that out without humming it!) Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for all those nearby), I’d never attempt to do either in public knowing very well the repercussions it could have on my reputation. If you like us find it difficult to pick out a favourite from ABBA’s song base check out what the cast of the musical (Page 7) have to say on the matter.
While Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s Dhadak (an official remake of the Marathi sleeper hit Sairat) hasn’t exactly elicited as great a response from critics as the original, the foot-tapping Zingaat, from both the versions has, not surprisingly, gone viral. That’s the magic of music.
News that Taylor Swift will star alongside Jennifer Hudson in the movie remake of the hit musical Cats (Page 6) couldn’t have come at a better time. Tom Hooper who gave us the amazing Les Miserables is helming this movie so we can be sure of another sing-along opportunity at the theatres.
