IT’S HOT, PEOPLE. Hot, hot, hot, but if you are yet to escape the desert and find yourself hanging around the house, there are a few solutions. To stop yourself climbing the walls, we’re recommending a daycation this week. Go on, treat yourself. You get all the relaxation of a holiday without actually having to pack or go very far. Just about every hotel or attraction has a deal going on, so we thought we’d bring you a few options where you can while away the hours poolside.

One of 90

Jumeirah has created a list of 90 different ways you, your friends or your family can have fun over the summer months at Jumeirah hotels. We like the Jumeirah Al Qasr and Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf’s deals where you can enjoy the resort’s huge swimming pool and be pampered by an in-villa butler. Starting from Dhs935 per night, enjoy breakfast, dinner in over 40 restaurants and bars, and free and unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark too.

Pool sessions

Atlantis, The Palm has launched its ‘Summer Pool Sessions @ Atlantis’, a brand-new pool day pass, at the Zero Entry Pool. Open every day from 11am, ‘Summer Pool Sessions @ Atlantis’ includes ladies being able to enjoy free sun lounger and pool access, as well as special food and beverage offers. Not forgetting the guys, access to ‘Summer Pool Sessions @ Atlantis’ is Dhs150 minimum spend on weekdays, and Dhs250 on weekends, redeemable against food and beverages.

Mark the Address

Address Boulevard’s refreshing pool consists of a main pool, a family pool with a waterfall and a children’s splash pad. It’s Dhs200 per person to get in on weekdays and Dhs250 per person on weekends, including Dhs150 food and beverage credit from 8am to 7pm.

Downtown destination

Despite calling itself the Manzil Downtown, there isn’t a shred of city hustle and bustle to be found here. Lounge and tan on the quiet sunbeds or cool down with a relaxing dip in the pool for Dhs200 per person on weekdays and Dhs250 per person on weekends.

Credit where it’s due

Vida Downtown has a specific daycation package. Enjoy a full day’s pool access at the hotel for Dhs250 and get Dhs150 as credit to spend on food and beverages at their restaurant, 3in1. The hotel’s outdoor swimming pool complete with cabanas is open from 7am to 7pm.
