Bounce off the walls
Imagine yourself in a room filled with over a hundred trampolines, breaking the rules of gravity and enabling you to explore the inner child in you . Trampolining is a low – impact workout, that enhances your sense of balance and provides many health benefits. The concept of jumping might sound a bit weird but trust me it gives you the same results of an intense workout. Bounce Trampoline Park, offers you various programmes such as Slam Dunk, Free Jumping – Arena, The Wall, Performance Trampoline, Dodgeball, Big Bag and X- park. The activities compel you to ‘BOUNCE’ off the walls.
We started out with a warm-up session to loosen our stiff muscles and bones. Our trainer, Christian Nji was kind enough to guide us through the entire experience offering us tips and tricks along the way. We kicked off the sessions with the ‘BIG BAG’, which is designed specially for individuals like me who have not been to the gym in a long time. At the very end of the long trampoline, a huge inflatable pit is placed where one could fall into without the fear of getting hurt. At the BIG BAG, the trainer demonstrates a couple of tricks for you to perform which also essentially helps you enjoy the other activities better. Our trainer performed a back flip and encouraged us to do so, but due to our lack of efficiency we only managed to do a side tumble. Out of all the activities that I got to experience this one was my personal favourite. As it did not require much stunts and it was all about enjoying oneself.
Impressed by our disastrous performance and genuine enthusiasm he (trainer) decided to step-up the game by introducing us to the next activity called ‘The Wall’.
This is how it works, one has to fall on their back, making you release your entire weight on to the trampoline causing you to bounce back and simultaneously you have to run up the wall. It might sound a bit challenging but with determination one can definitely succeed and get a hold of it. After a couple of tries I managed to show some sort of improvement. In this activity, most of your weight is exerted on your back. Make sure to keep your head forward, or else you would end up with a bad neck pain.
After a couple of not so bad performances by me, we tried out the X – park which is amongst the coolest sessions that we got to experience at BOUNCE. X – park can be described as a miniature alternative version of the show Ninja Warrior. The park is divided into two levels. Each of these levels provide a challenge. As the level increases so does the intensity of the challenge. The highlights of this park would include the Zip–line, that takes you to the next level, in which I almost got my nose disfigured due to my excellent timing! Along with the Zip – line you also have the Sea Of Pipes, wherein the person will have to walk through a series of moving pipes. All safety precautions have been taken care of before-hand so you need not worry about getting yourself injured, the trainers ensure your safety and wellbeing.
All these tasks not only rely on your physical abilities completely but also your presence of mind. We wound down the activities with a good cardio workout on the trampoline, I know it sounds crazy, but no workout has ever been so full of fun.
BOUNCE Trampoline Park is definitely a unique indoor experience. It’s something you do not want to miss this summer.
