1 FATIMA’S NEXT WITH ISHAAN?
After making waves with Dangal, Fatima Sana Sheikh is ready with her second film Thugs of Hindostan in which she will be seen alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and Katrina Kaif. There is a buzz in the industry that Fatima has replaced Taapsee Pannu in Anurag Basu’s next film. Taapsee was signed for the movie but did not end up doing the movie because of some disagreement with the director. This movie will be a sequel to Life in a Metro and Abhishek Bachchan, Ishaan Khattar, Rajkummar Rao and Sonakshi Sinha have already given their verbal confirmation to the film. It will be interesting to see Fatima being paired opposite a male actor who is from the same age group. Ishaan was praised for his performance in moves like Dhadak and Beyond the Clouds.
2 IS SALMAN SHOOTING FOR BHARAT IN ABU DHABI?
It seems that Salman Khan has landed in Abu Dhabi for the filming of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. There is a picture and a video of Salman Khan sitting in an airport buggy which is being circulated around social media. It is being reported that the actor arrived in the UAE on Sunday morning to film for Bharat. Director Ali Abbas landed in Abu Dhabi on September 23 to begin the preproduction work. He also shot for his last two films Race 3 and Tiger Zinda Hain in Abu Dhabi extensively. In an earlier interview with City Times, Salman had told us that he was very excited to be coming back to Abu Dhabi for a long schedule for Bharat. Salman was supposed to make an appearance in Dubai last saturday to promote a cinema theatre, but the event got cancelled at the last minute. Katrina Kaif plays the leading lady in the movie and will soon join her Ek Tha Tiger co-star.
3 DEEPIKA LOCKS HER NEXT?
It’s been a long wait for Deepika Padukone’s fan base to hear what she signs next. The actress has not signed any movie officially, post the release of Padmaavat early this year. Even though it is not yet announced, we hear that she has been confirmed for Meghna Gulzar’s next film. Meghna recently made Raazi with Alia Bhatt in the lead. Both Alia and Meghna got rave reviews for the movie. Indian trade magazine Super Cinema reports that the movie is going to be a female centric film and it will also be a co-production between Meghna and Deepika. The movie will go into production early next year.
4 AJAY AND KAJOL COMING TOGETHER?
It’s been ten years since we saw the married couple Ajay Devgn and Kajol on the big screen together. They were last seen together in 2008 with U Me Aur Hum. Bollywood trade magazine Super Cinema reports that Kajol has been signed for Ajay’s next film Tanaji. The shooting of the film will begin this week in Mumbai. Saif Ali Khan plays the negative lead in this film that is based on the Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare. Ajay plays the title role in the project. Currently, Kajol is preparing for the release of her next film Helicopter Eela. Can’t wait to see them onscreen...
