Are you all set to watch Thugs of Hindostan with CT?

-

DO YOU STILL hear it? The deafening roars from the first edition of #Citytimestakesyoutothemovies that took place in September with the Varun Dhawananushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga: Made in India.

The exciting second edition of the much-loved Movie Nights reels in The Thugs of Hindostan this week.

The recently relaunched Movie Nights is followed by avid readers of Khaleej Times under the hashtag #Citytimestakesyoutothemovies. The competition has garnered a lot of buzz. After the success of this year’s inaugural event, we thought it would only be fair to continue the momentum and keep the fun going.

In partnership with Thumbay Hospital Dubai, celebrations are doubled this Diwali with the event set to take place at two venues: Roxy Cinemas at City Walk on Thursday, November 8, at 9pm and Vox Cinemas at Deira City Centre at 7pm on Friday, November 9.

Is it just us or does the trailer give off a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe? Whatever the vibes may be, this epic actionadventure follows a thug named Firangi Mallah and his nefarious ways that pose a serious challenge to the British Empire in India between 1790 and 1805. For the first time ever, we see veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan sharing screen space with the perfectionist Aamir Khan. Also starring the relative newcomer who is quickly gaining audience love, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Hollywood star Lloyd Owen, we’re ready for all the pirates, fight scenes onboard a ship and of course Katrina Kaif’s sizzling cameo. Are you as excited as us? neha@khaleejtimes.com
