SALMAN IN A DA-BANGG MOOD!

Ahead of Da-bangg The Tour - Reloaded in Dubai this March, the Bollywood superstar reveals why the show will be a blast for UAE fans

The highly entertaini­ng Bollywood dance-music extravagan­za Dabangg: The Tour-reloaded live concert featuring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Sonakshi Sinha, Guru Randhawa, and Manish Paul is coming to Dubai next month.

In an exclusive interview with City Times about this upcoming concert, Salman shared details about the hard work that goes behind preparing for such a massive concert. “Well since I’m on the stage quite a bit during the entire show, I need to put in a good amount of rehearsal time before the show. We start rehearsals approximat­ely a month before the show.”

He also added that performing in the UAE gives Indian stars an opportunit­y to perform in front of their South Asian fans. Does he believe that art brings people from different countries closer? “Yes, it surely does. Films have been known to connect with the audience from different parts of the world,” added the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor.

After entertaini­ng the Indian diaspora in London, Hong Kong, Auckland, Melbourne, US and Canada, the tour is finally coming to the UAE on March 15. The Da-bangg show is a successful franchise now. When asked to choose the best memory from one of his tours, he said, “Every city, country gave us a lot of beautiful memories. In all the cities we performed in worldwide, the show has been very successful with full houses. People have loved and appreciate­d it in totality. Hence all have been a great experience.”

If you are of the opinion that the stars party all night after such concerts, allow us to burst your bubble because Salman says, it is all work and no party for the actors! “Well, since all artists are busy with their shoot schedule, we don’t get much time to hang out and party post the concert.”

changes galore and world-class cuisine is managed, scripted, and directed by Sohail Khan Entertainm­ent and JA Events. Dubai fans will also have the opportunit­y to dance with Salman on stage. When asked about the routines that they follow before going on stage, he said, “I need to do a lot of stretching as part of my workout routine. A lot of flexibilit­y is required in performing live stage shows.” For the last few years, Salman been coming to the UAE a lot for the shoots of his movies. He has shot Ek Tha Tiger, Race 3 and

Bharat in recent times in the UAE. He often comes here for brand promotions as well. So what are his favourite things to do when he is here? “I have been here mostly for shoots of my films. We have shot in many beautiful location in the UAE.”

There’s a lot of buzz around Salman’s next film Bharat with Katrina Kaif, and as per reports, it is not an easy film to make. Does he consider Bharat to be one of his most challengin­g movies? “Every film has been challengin­g whether it is Bajrangi Bhaijaan,

Sultan, Tubelight or Bharat.”

The actor will be dancing to many of his popular numbers including Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Garam Chai Ki Pyaali Ho, Munni Badnam, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Swag Se Swagat.
