Phantom’s here

-

The world’s most famous musical finally arrives in Dubai! The emotive play,

is about a musical genius who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Catch the opening show today at Dubai Opera at 8pm.

Why do we tend to set up the last three months of a year as the magical time, when everything is possible? The extra kilos you have been desperately trying to shake off in the past 9 months; the healthy habits you promised to make a part of your lifestyle at the beginning of the year; the books you diligently stocked up on; the quality time you planned to spend with your near and dear ones... as we set eyes on the tail end of the year, it is as if we are given one last chance to tick off all the boxes.

Unlike the languid summer days, when everything seems to be on a slow mo mode, winter tends to give me the sense of urgency I so desperately wish I had acted on before.

I don’t know if it is the Dubai syndrome – where life never seems to pause, even for a minute. The last one week, alone, has been one of the busiest so far. Victoria Beckham, Yousra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Hrithik Roshan were just some of the celebs who flew into the UAE to add their razzmatazz to our universe.

While I was privy to a blink-and-you-miss-it meeting with the War hero Hrithik Roshan on Thursday evening, my colleague had a far more elaborate chat with the utterly charming Jacqueline Fernandez. Did you know she’s the first female celebrity to be part of the Hala KSA ad at a Saudi airport? Read our cover story to find out more about the beauty and what she has in store for her fans.
