TEN SOLDIER BOYS went out to dine, one choked his little self and then there were nine … and on and on goes the famous rhyme, ending with the dramatic conclusion, ‘And then there were none’.

First written in novel form by Agatha Christie in 1939, And Then there Were None has sold more than 100 million copies, been performed innumerable times all over the world and still remains a classic favourite with audiences. Now, H72 Productions – the in-house production arm of The Junction, is all set to stage this murder mystery this weekend.

Directed by Roli Agrawal, the play features a stellar ensemble of veterans from Dubai’s community theatre scene alongside some promising new faces, all coming together to create a gripping, edge-of-the-seat experience that will leave audiences riveted. an oxymoron of sorts. People are likely to know the ending and the suspense, and so, it is upon us as a cast and crew to put up a compelling show that keeps audiences intrigued and captive. Audiences are sure to have a good time. Times change, human nature doesn’t. A good mystery will always engage the curious viewer. in Dubai

to have The Junction as our home. That afforded us the liberty of planning and building a proper set that can lend itself to the viewer’s imagination and help immerse them in the situation of Soldier Island. Malik Siddique, (Playing Mr. Rogers): Duty comes first for Rogers. But he also wants to come into money! Would he kill for it? He is a very competent Butler. He will continue to keep up his appearance no matter what. Will he make good his escape from Soldier Island and escape his fate? Come to watch the play and find out for yourself! I watched the 1940s version of And Then There Were None, and researched on Google for the character preparation. But in the end, I will bring my own version of Rogers to the stage. The energy in the theatre! The adrenaline rush the cast has before the first live show, combined with the anticipation and curiosity of the audience, promises to create an electric atmosphere!

Silvia Valentino (Playing Mrs. Rogers): On opening night, I want a clear channel of communicating the truth of the page to the audience. In a way, actors are translators of flat words into colourful, multidimensional language. This is what I am hoping the cast and myself will bring forward tonight. Viji Sashikant (Playing Emily Brent):

Satyen Chandiramani (Playing Lawrence Wargrave): It has been amazing to be in a murder mystery for the first time with some new actors and some who I have worked with previously. Rehearsals have been paced perfectly and always are the strongest bond between the crew. So much energy, understanding and patience only makes the crew a very strong unit.

Karan Sharma (Playing Dr. Edward Armstrong): Clear vision, trust, undivided attention, open-minded and focused approaches have been the most significant factors that enabled a very productive and funfilled environment during our rehearsals for all cast members.
