THE EDITOR’S LETTER

Emirates Woman celebrates 35 years on the shelves this month – such a milestone for us, and a testament to our readers. The vision for EW has always remained the same, to expose our local heroines, tastemakers and protagonists and put them on a podium for the world to see. This issue, we celebrate our birthday by paying homage to our past (page 54) and look forward to our future with cover ‘star’ HRH Princess Haya bint al Hussein. Wife, mother, philanthropist, acclaimed equestrian, veracious visionary and the embodiment of a true Emirates woman.

On October 11 we will reveal who you voted our woman of the year at our annual Emirates Woman, Woman of the Year awards, so keep an eye on emirateswoman.com (and all our social media channels) to see who won the coveted crown.

I plan on celebrating our birthday as I would my own, reflecting on our past while looking ahead at our ambitions for the future. There will be a party, cake and while we won't receive gifts, we will pass them onto you...Flip through to page 171 to see all the goodies we are giving away.
