The big story in this week’s Friday on the two world-class boxers (‘Rumble in Dubai’, June 28) took me by surprise. Usually the magazine has hard-hitting issues that affect our lives in some way or another in the beginning of the magazine, but this time it was different. I am not much of a fan of the sport so thought of skipping the article, but when I read the quotes from the athletes, I couldn’t resist reading on.

When I finished reading the article I realised that at the end of the day, behind all those muscles and tough looks, the boxers have the same heart that beats for their families and loved ones, fearing for their welfare and living for them.

The author captured the person behind the persona of these toughlooking athletes beautifully. It is what I call the Friday touch! Loved it.
