Dis­con­nect from stim­u­la­tion and back­ground noise from time to time. Switch off to peo­ple, tele­vi­sions, traf­fic, mo­bile phones, etc – and find a place where you can lis­ten to sounds of na­ture, like birds, trick­ling wa­ter, waves or the wind in the trees. Th­ese sounds are sooth­ing on the vestibu­lar sys­tem, which is of­ten hi­jacked by mod­ern day noises.
