Going to great lengths

Hats off to Jan de Cock (‘Welcome to Hotel Prison’, January 3). I am amazed at the lengths the man is willing to go to so he can help improve the conditions of prisoners, including living among them. The experience that he narrates of how he managed to gain entrance into the jail in China was fascinating. A brilliant article.
