How has your im­pres­sion of the Mid­dle East changed over time?

It’s been fas­ci­nat­ing to ob­serve the re­gion’s growth and re­silience. I have so much re­spect for the re­gion’s lead­er­ship and its vi­sion that al­lows oth­ers to ful­fil their am­bi­tions – that in­cludes top­notch ar­chi­tects who would have only dreamt of such op­por­tu­ni­ties.

The re­gion’s evo­lu­tion as a culi­nary des­ti­na­tion is un­matched, with some amaz­ing ho­tels and in­cred­i­ble restaurants. From the su­perbly de­signed Miche­lin-star restaurants to be­douin ban­quets un­der a tent in the desert – you only have to look at the fact that some of the world’s best chefs and restaurants have opened in Dubai over the past few years to re­alise how the world sees the re­gion!

I can’t wait to ex­pe­ri­ence Dubai in 2020 when the stun­ning in­fra­struc­ture for the Expo is com­plete.
