How has your impression of the Middle East changed over time?

It’s been fascinating to observe the region’s growth and resilience. I have so much respect for the region’s leadership and its vision that allows others to fulfil their ambitions – that includes topnotch architects who would have only dreamt of such opportunities.

The region’s evolution as a culinary destination is unmatched, with some amazing hotels and incredible restaurants. From the superbly designed Michelin-star restaurants to bedouin banquets under a tent in the desert – you only have to look at the fact that some of the world’s best chefs and restaurants have opened in Dubai over the past few years to realise how the world sees the region!

I can’t wait to experience Dubai in 2020 when the stunning infrastructure for the Expo is complete.
