I loved the article on Shivani Bhalla, co-founder of Ewaso Lions (‘The last of the lions’, June 13). Her effort to save the wildlife of Kenya by involving the local tribes is truly commendable.

Being a Kenyan from Nakuru, I, too, have witnessed the daily struggle between man and wildlife and how it has adversely affected the eco-system in the area.

We have to do everything we can to save all wildlife, including the lions. Shivani’s efforts are amazing and deserve to be highlighted. Karen, editor

Y ou cannot imagine the joy I feel every time I read Friday magazine. Going through the fashion and beauty section makes my day as I love the make-up and accessories you feature. You truly help me define my fashion style.

I also love the Real Life and Making a Difference articles as they highlight the goodness in people around the world. In addition, I’m a big fan of chef Silvena Rowe and I collect all her recipes and answers to various domestic dilemmas. I plan on binding them together and creating a book that I’ll give to my daughter when she grows up.

Thank you Friday for bringing out an amazing magazine every week.

I’m glad you love Friday so much, Cathy. We make it for you, the readers, so we are happy to hear you’re enjoying the content.

I ’ve been reading Friday since I was three years old, but last week’s – the Father’s Day issue – was one of the best you have ever published. I loved each and every article and read them over and over.

My favourite was the Real Life story on Tom Attwater (‘I can’t go in peace until I know Kelli will be cared for’, June 13). I usually don’t read articles that make me emotional, but I was so touched and inspired by his story that I read it three times.

It was this article that made me realise how much our fathers do for us. I realised how much pain and effort my father goes through for me without expecting anything in return. It also made me appreciate the things my father endures to give me a comfortable and happy life.

Thank you Friday for making this Father’s Day so special for all the fathers out there and mainly for strengthening the bond between my father and me and making it even more precious!

Keep up the good work, Friday. I love you guys and I love you, Dad! TANVI SUKHTANKAR, GEMS OOEHS, DUBAI

T he worst thing to happen to someone is when they are told that they have limited time to live.

This could devastate the strongest of us. What Tom Attwater is doing for his stepdaughter despite his own deteriorating health is praiseworthy.

I wish them both good health.

I must thank you for publishing the extremely touching story of Tom and Kelli Attwater.

Like you, my heart went out to them. want to support them and pass the info on to all my friends and clients who can help.

Please let me know how we can get the help to them. Does the family have a bank account to which we can send money?
