Cara, 21, a nurse, says:

“Lily’s decision to allow Daryl’s organs to be donated for a transplant was an incredibly selfless and generous one. By making that choice she gave me the greatest gift on Earth – the gift of life.

“Lily has become a very important person to me. She is a complete inspiration. I am so pleased she agreed to meet me and that I had the opportunity to find out more about Daryl and build this friendship with his mum. People like Daryl and his family make a real difference and that should be celebrated.”
