A series of random events…

…led to me buying my first digital camera and pursuing photography. A friend and I decided to go to Africa on a humanitarian mission in 2004 and I bought the camera to document the trip, but my friend had to cancel and I was too much of a coward to go on my own. I had to put this new expensive camera to use and a few months later I was doing photography professionally. It seems like I really just had it in me. I had been working as a caretaker for the mentally ill two years prior to that.
