This is awesome: Legoland Dubai visitors will be able to take the adventure to their rooms when the first Legoland Hotel in the Middle East – the seventh globally – opens in Dubai in 2019. The 250-room hotel, which will be located in Dubai Parks and Resorts, will have Lego models in every room, as well as ‘a disco elevator’ and a castle play area. The Legoland Hotel will be the second hotel at the theme park, following the opening of Lapita, a Polynesian resort, at the start of 2017.
Remember that feast the enchanted Mrs Potts and her team serve Belle in Beauty and the Beast – suggesting she ‘try the grey stuff’ on the platter? Now you can try it at the Tale As Old As Time high tea at Town House restaurant at the Kensington Hotel. Celebrating the live-action version of the fairy tale’s March 17 release, expect cups and teapots in the shape of Mrs Potts and Chip Potts. The resemblance to the film doesn’t end there – the sweets and snacks on the menu are inspired by the film’s scenes and characters. Check into the Four Seasons Hotel Milano, and you’ll get a pair of Manolo Blahniks – hotel slippers, that is. The iconic footwear designer has created limited-edition hotel slippers for the Milan hotel he calls his ‘second home’ to celebrate the launch of his exhibition The Art of Shoes. The cloth slippers have gotten a chic makeover in deep blue velvet and satin with golden embroidered motifs.
