ART ATTACK

Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Modern Art Gallery is showcasing Luscious – a group exhibition of five painters from the UAE, France, Lebanon and Syria. Curated by Zsuzska Petró, the artists – Dr Najjat Makki, Khulood Al Jabri, Lama Rommo, Amelie Ducommun and Tala Hammoud Atrouni – are painters whose works manifest the illusory elements of impressionist paintings through vivid colours. For some tangible DIY art, sign up for Sharjah Art Foundation’s clay utensil workshops. The free course at Al Hamriya Art Centre teaches you to etch floral patterns in clay and then mould the decorated clay into utensils. Materials will be provided on site.
