DAVINES LAUNCHES IN THE UAE

Davines haircare launched its products and treatments in the UAE this week and we couldn’t be more excited. The brand, which is originally from Italy but is already huge in the US, the UK and the rest of Europe, uses natural, sustainable products and is a favourite with hairstylists – proving their products should be as good as they say they are. Their most iconic product has to be its Sea Salt Spray (Dh85), which will give you boho beach babe style waves, while their Energizing Superactive Serum (Dh280) will give you smooth hair all day. Available at eideal.com. For salon treatments, visit Be Bar on Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Road.

AMAZING SPA DEAL ALERT!

If you’re a fan of beach yoga (who needs a Bikram studio when you’ve got Dubai humidity, right?) then this might be the deal for you: Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah has launched its monthly spa membership, starting in June: Dh889 for a 60-minute massage or facial, two 30-minute treatments, a 30-minute session in the infrared sauna, full moon yoga and unlimited beach yoga, and access to the Spa pool, as well as discounts on food and other spa treatments. Call 04 366 6818.

GLAM GOTH

I love Kat Von D’s new Pastel Goth Eye Palette, which includes eight bright and bold shades to give you on-trend eyes for summer. The shadows are highly pigmented so they’ll show up on any skin tone and won’t wear off throughout the day. All Kat’s products are 100 per cent vegan. Dh165, available at Sephora stores nationwide.

BEAT THE HEAT

It’s heating up out there so we need to be taking care of our hair. The GK Miami Bombshell Hair Taming in-salon treatment is for blonde or highlighted hair (including those of us with ombre hair) and will repair and protect your hair from obsessive sun exposure as well as put the shine back into your tresses after colouring. From Dh500, available at Jacques La Couple Salon, Dubai, plus many others across the UAE. TOP TRESSES It’s one of the most low-maintenance hairstyles you can do at home, and perhaps that’s why the topknot has become a favourite with celebrities. Everyone from Priyanka Chopra to Kate Hudson has been opting for fuss-free styles over the last few weeks and it looks surprisingly chic – yes, your go-to relaxed style is now worthy of being worn on the Met Gala red carpet. Simply twist a ponytail into a messy bun and hold with grips. Easy!

BASSAM BRINGS IT

Lebanese make-up artist Bassam Fattouh has just launched his make-up range in Debenhams stores. The range, which is here in the UAE for the first time, includes his eagerly anticipated Velours Liquid Matte lipstick range. Its silky consistency means it doesn’t fry your lips like other matte glosses, and of course the colour lasts all day. Bassam is also debuting his Kajal Kingdom range of pencil eyeliners, which has an intensely pigmented formula to give you the darkest, boldest colour possible. Line up now at Debenhams stores nationwide.
