NEW CORDIS HOTELS IN CHINA

Three’s the lucky number when it comes to Cordis hotels in China – two new hotels will be launched in Shanghai and Hangzhou in 2019. The brand’s first hotel was launched in Hong Kong last month. The 200-room Cordis Hangzhou (above) will be located bang in the middle of Future Technology City, the tech hub that’s home to the headquarters of online shopping giants Alibaba. The hotel will have an 800-square-metre Grand Ballroom, a Chuan Body and Soul spa that will offer treatments based on traditional Chinese medicine, a fitness centre and indoor pool and three food and beverage outlets. The 396-room Cordis, Shanghai, Hongqiao will be located close to the National Exhibition and Convention Centre, and will have a direct underground and overhead connections to the Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and Metro Lines 2 and 10. -Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is a five-minute drive from the hotel. Inside, the Cordis Shanghai will have two ballrooms that can accommodate 600 guests each and six other break-out rooms to host banquets, meetings, weddings and other events. The hotel’s four F&B outlets reflect the cosmopolitan Shanghainese culture and include C Market, a European and pan-Asian restaurant, Chinese restaurant Xi Wei that specialises in Shanghainese and Cantonese cuisine, a 24-hour Lobby Lounge and Connection 12, a rooftop bar.
