CAPERS FOR KIDS

-

While you trawl the mall for summer deals the kids can keep busy with the free activities at BurJuman. Until August 12, the mall will have a sand pit for kids to play in, indoor rock climbing for them to expel all that excess energy, arts and crafts activities and bubble blasts every 20 minutes, daily from 4-10pm.

It’s not too late to sign up for summer camps yet – the Colors Dubai Summer Camp 2017 is conducting activities for kids aged three to nine years at locations across Dubai include the Dubai Ladies Club and BurJuman. The camp includes workshops on dance, art, aerobics, baking and swimming supervised by KHDA-approved teachers. From Sundays to Thursdays; 9.30am-2pm, until August 24. Dh690 per week per child; visit dubaisummercamp.com.

There’s plenty of bear hugs for little ones today at Orange Wheels (above). The children’s entertainment centre at Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, has tied up with Build A Bear, the stuffed animal workshop, to host a Teddy Bear Picnic Day. A life-size Build A Bear mascot will pick up and drop off kids from Orange Wheels to the Build A Bear store where they can make their own soft toy from scratch, followed by an hour’s playtime at Orange Wheels. Dh100 per child.

Everyone’s favourite cat and mouse have come out to play in Abu Dhabi this July – Tom

and Jerry will chase each other from the television screen to the stage in Tom and

Jerry Live Show – The Crystal Quest (left). Magical new characters such as the spirit Taja, Princess Toodles and adventurous mouse Mozzarella Jones join the famous duo’s capers and as they navigate cheese volcanoes and grumpy dragons on Pawprint Island to find a wish-granting amulet. Sounds like the cat’s pyjamas! From July 20-22 at Al Raha Theatre, Abu Dhabi, and at Al Ain Municipality Theatre from July 27-29; tickets from Dh100 at Bawadi Mall, Al Ain, and Dalma Mall, Abu Dhabi.
