STICKY SESAME CHICKEN WINGS

Prep time 1 hour 15 mins Cooking time Serves 4-6 INGREDIENT­S 6 green shallots, finely sliced on the diagonal 4 cloves garlic, crushed 80ml soy sauce 80ml apple juice 1 tbsp finely grated ginger 2 tbsp brown sugar 2kg chicken wings 35g sesame seeds, toasted METHOD Steamed rice and salad leaves, to serve Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line two baking trays with parchment paper. Combine green onions, garlic, soy sauce, apple juice, ginger and sugar in a large bowl, stir to combine. Add chicken wings and toss to ensure it is well coated. Cover and refrigerat­e for at least one hour. Transfer the wings to the baking trays. Bake the wings for 40-45 mins or until cooked through and golden brown. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds. over Serve with steamed rice and salad leaves.
