Only one direction to head to next weekend if you’re a noughties’ kid – Global Village, where Liam Payne will be performing on March 30. You can attend the special gig by the ex-One Direction band member for a steal at just Dh15 per person, which is the entrance to Global Village that also includes access to its many stalls and pavilions. The Strip That Down hitmaker will perform at the Main Stage at 9pm as part of Global Village’s concert series.

Indian classical music is in the limelight this weekend with doyens gracing the UAE at various events: Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, will strum his way into Abu Dhabi’s hearts today at the Emirates Palace on March 25. The musician, said to be the master of the sarod (a stringed Indian classical instrument), is performing as part of the Abu Dhabi Festival. His concert starts at 8pm; tickets from Dh200 at 800tickets. com. Meanwhile in Dubai, vocalist Pandit Jasraj and flautist Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia will perform in concert at Ductac; tickets from Dh50 at ductac.org
