For stargazing that’s more than reading your horoscope, head to the Dubai Astronomy Group’s (DAG) Star Gazing Party at Al Qudra today at 9pm. Hash out the conspiracy theories, facts and myths of UFOs during a special talk hosted by DAG. The star-studded event will also host a discussion on tomorrow’s Earth Hour and how you can contribute to it. After that, try to locate Jupiter, Mars and Saturn and an array of constellations during a telescopic observation session that includes a Q&A for curious minds. Dh140 for adults and Dh70 for kids, inclusive of dinner at q-tickets.com; from 9pm-2am.

Climate change is a real threat and tomorrow marks the eleventh year of Earth Hour – the World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) global environmental movement against climate change that started in Sydney in 2007. When the entire world goes electricity-free for an hour tomorrow from 8.30-9.30pm, you too can switch off the lights and participate in one of these movements to save the world and make it a better place. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will be hosting a family festival at the Marasi Promenade in Business Bay from 4pm, from where you can see the Burj Khalifa switch off its lights and participate in the Earth Hour walkathon. Register at dewaearthhour. com for free and get your Earth Hour pack. The Environment and Protected Areas Authority of Sharjah have partnered with Emirates Wildlife Society to host a walkathon at Al Majaz Waterfront. Visit earthhour.ae.
