STARGAZING
Shelley von Strunckel, one of the world’s top astrologers, writes a weekly forecast for Friday
CANCER JUNE 21 – JULY 21
Usually, planning ahead is wise. However, you really can’t anticipate the events that will be ushered in by the Cancer eclipsed New Moon on Friday the 13th. Knowing that, ensure whatever you plan is flexible and, equally, embrace the unexpected. The more you explore, the more you’ll learn. What’s least welcome, at least initially, could turn out to be a breakthrough in the long run.
LEO JULY 22 – AUGUST 22
You’ve probably already noticed that even thrilling offers, yours or those of others, don’t always unfold as intended. Yet, bizarrely, seemingly unwelcome changes often turn out better than your original plans. It’s the same now. So when facing the unexpected, respond by being inquisitive. The more you explore, the more you’ll learn. So when changes arise, you’ll have plenty to think about.
VIRGO AUGUST 23 – SEPTEMBER 22
Although capable of great diplomacy, when confronted by unfair situations or cornered by critical people, you’ll speak up. But now, tricky situations or your own discretion are preventing you airing your displeasure. While this isn’t easy, it’s giving you time to evaluate certain arrangements that once worked but must either change or go. That clarity will come after September. For now, decisions can wait.
LIBRA SEPTEMBER 23 – OCTOBER 22
You’re known as the soul of diplomacy. But the unsettling nature of events between now and the end of July could rouse your temper. Think twice before speaking up. What’s more, frequent changes could mean seemingly solid facts are unreliable. Instead discuss concerns, encouraging others to air theirs, too. The resulting conversations could transform your thinking, and your priorities.
SCORPIO OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 21
When you commit to a person or plan, you’ll have given it in depth thought, so are unlikely to make changes. However, with eclipses on the 13th, 27th of July and in mid August shaking things up, twists and turns are inevitable. Knowing that, regard whatever you organise as more of an experiment than a commitment, and both arrangements and your mood will be flexible.
SAGITTARIUS NOVEMBER 22 – DECEMBER 20
While you’re by no means a control freak, you’ve learnt that, often, things go more smoothly if you arrange them yourself. Yet now, what you’re dealing with requires the support or guidance of others. Tempting as it is to do things yourself, this approach could complicate matters. Once you’re actually working together, having expert advice will be a relief and you’ll enjoy what you’re learning.
CAPRICORN DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 19
Recent unexpected events roused doubts or triggered anxieties about future changes, some of which are still unresolved. True, the coming days’ events will bring yet more disruption. But they also offer an opportunity to rethink existing plans and, importantly, broaden your horizons. Be flexible and willing to take chances. While the road may seem clear, what’s least expected could turn out best in the long run.
AQUARIUS JANUARY 20 – FEBRUARY 17
There’s been talk of reorganising elements of your life for ages and you have, in fact, made many changes. However, sudden events are forcing you and others to rethink certain arrangements you’ve regarded as stable. While disruptive, these occasionally bewildering developments are preparing you for the even more exciting changes being triggered by the Aquarius eclipsed Full Moon on 27 July.
PISCES FEBRUARY 18 – MARCH 19
There are few things you dislike more than disappointing others. However, you really can’t ignore the thrilling developments triggered by stunning planetary activity involving your ruler Neptune. Instead of worrying about the upset changes would cause, simply put yourself first. Challenging as this is now, you’ll soon be able to give others a hand.
ARIES MARCH 20 – APRIL 19
Recent discussions were informative. Still, don’t just assume things will fall into place as planned. With the first of the current series of three eclipses taking place on the 13th, focus on the unexpected. Others may advise careful investigation. Instead, allow the adventurous side of your nature to take the lead. While, at least, you’ll learn something, what or who you encounter could be life-changing.
TAURUS APRIL 20 – MAY 20
While you’ve accomplished a great deal since your ruler Venus moved to accent certain domestic and family matters, you’ve been thinking more about duty than fun. By midweek your focus shifts to love and life’s joys, which is a relief. True, unsettled matters involving elements of your life demand attention. Despite that, happily, you’ve plenty of time to savour the wonderful events currently coming your way.
GEMINI MAY 21 – JUNE 20
The difference between being indecisive and deliberately avoiding fixed commitments isn’t always clear. Now, it’s about the unexpected. With three eclipses, on 13 and 27 July and in mid-August, triggering shakeups in arrangements and plans, aim to be flexible yet well informed. And consider absolutely every option. You may not finalise decisions for weeks, but once you do, you’ll be sure they’re wise ones.
