NO RESTRICTIONS To me, my home means the most comfortable place where you can also express your freedom. It is where I long to be each day, and a place that is just brimming with memories created with my family. My home is definitely not calm and quiet, but it is where my heart lives. Kripa Susan Raji

Soul-searching.

I strongly believe that elegance comes when the inside is as beautiful as the outside. Hence our home is the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary styles, well curated with artefacts, antique colours and textures. I wanted to create my own distinctive look in every corner of my home. Wherever I travel, I make it a point to buy a souvenir for my beautiful home. The things we love — our home displays these all around. It is the true complete reflection of my husband and my love, passion, strengths and hobbies. Prasanna Prakash

A retreat

Home is where my tired self yearns to go after a challenging day at work – no deadlines to meet, where I can share those priceless moments with my loved ones. It is the only place I can kick off my shoes, stretch, relax and enjoy that solitary moment by myself. Sharon Bhorkar

All the memories

Home is a place to build memories, whether they're bad or good, and you remember them in the future. It's a place where we can just unwind and relax and be ourselves. Zainab Adnan

NO FILTERS

While writing this, I have truly found truth in the saying ‘Home is where the heart is ’, as home tome is that cosy place where I can be myself, without any filters. Home, in my eyes, is a place of comfort, love and security. At my home, I get to relish my mum’s scrumptious food and be a victim to my dad’s boring pieces of advice. I also constantly find myself at home when I’m with my sister, either indulging in fights that always end in bursts of laughter or when consulting her for all the dilemmas that I have encountered. Ah, I love my home. Aarya Ajith

MY SAFE PLACE

A home is a place you feel happy. My home is my safe place. It is where I can do and be whatever I want and not be judged by people. When you are in the outside world, it is the safety and comfort of home that you crave. It is a place where I have memories to cherish and to make. It is the place to make family moments and enjoy the crazy laughter and jokes we crack all time. It is where love is eternal and has no boundaries. My home means everything to me, it is my life. Finding peace

Home to me is a place where my family is. It means to me a place where love prevails. It is a place where I feel safe and secure. It is also a place where I have responsibilities for the well-being of my family. I may travel the world and enjoy life but I find peace only when I return home.

Where I can be alive

A home is a reflection of soul. You go anywhere in the world but home is the place that you start missing in a couple of days. Home gives me a feeling of being alive, safe, secure and complete. It allows me to grow with all my insecurities and shortcomings. It's like a cocoon for me — whenever I am sad, lost, scared, it's a place for me to retreat to. I want to thank my husband for enabling me to fulfil my dream of decorating my home as per my will, making it paradise. My soul is attracted to my home, like flowers are attracted to the sun to grow... Lamiya Siraj

A positive place

The palace where I feel like a queen, act like a queen and am treated like a queen is my home. At home I can think clearly as it provides me with positive energy and the soothing, refreshing and comfortable environment enhances my productivity, creativity and imagination. It’s where I relax and get ready to face the challenges and complexities of life. My favourite place in the world offers a sense of belonging and lots of love. My home is an integral part of me.

A spot for reunions

Home is everything for me. It allows us to truly be ourselves and forms the foundation of each individual. As we both work, departing in the morning, and the kids go to school, our daily reunions and get-together start in the evenings at home. We share, laugh and relax here. Eappen Elias

All about the fam

Home is not a place for me. My home is my family, and it's where most of our childhood memories are made. For me spending time with my family, having their presence, and warmth around me, is home and where my memories are made. Nithina najeeb

More than four walls...

In today's world, where no one has time to spare for each other and tensions or depressions take over us, I have always wished for a place wherein I could have soul-crunching conversations to kindle my deepest thoughts and bare my soul. To push me when I am slacking, to encourage me to keep my dreams alive and uplift me when I choose to give up, showing me that I matter and am loved, despite my shortfalls. To be in the strangest of places and feel at home even when I am faraway from home. As they say, sometimes home need not be about four walls. It could be just in a person. I am blessed to have found my home in my better half, whom I have been gifted to share the rest of my life with.
