Up, up and away

Last winter, I had the fortune of going on a wonderful, adventurous trip with a few friends. The highlight was my first attempt at parasailing. I could feel the adrenaline rush right from the moment I was being strapped in. I said a fervent prayer for myself and my friend and set off. Launching off that boat gave us the most exhilarating feeling we had ever experienced. As the boat slowly started moving, I was hit by the daunting realisation that an inch-thick rope was the only thing between us and the overwhelming waters below. As we soared higher, the feelings of breathlessness and fear vanished, to be replaced by a sense of accomplishment. The view of the pristine sea and the RAK coastline from the skies above was breathtakingly beautiful. This is an experience I will never forget. Sheeba Jojo
