THE GLOBAL PLAYERS
MBS
Manchester Business School (MBS) is present in Dubai and supports more than 1,800 part time MBA students across the region. MBS signed an MOU in February 2015 with ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) – designed to enable more people in the region to study accountancy and enter the finance profession.
As part of the agreement both organisations will encourage networking across their large and growing professional communities in the region, as well as supporting ongoing professional development by creating privileged access to programmes. ACCA, for its part supports over 2,500 members and more than 15,000 students and affiliates working/studying across the Middle East.
CASS
Cass Business School, part of City University London, runs an Executive MBA programme aimed at ‘fast tracking’ career progression as well as opening up new areas of business for those looking to change their career paths, according to Ehsan Razavizadeh, regional director MENA. “In Dubai, Cass attracts students from all over the world and this year, students from 22 nationalities, all with substantial work experience, will take part in the school’s two-year course, which runs until the autumn of 2016,” he says.
The programme is plugged into an MBA network of over 6,500 MBA alumni and more than 35,000 Cass alumni pursuing careers worldwide – this in a wide range of professional fields, from consultancy, IT and banking to pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and the media.
