T he young Emirati has many titles under his belt; he is the chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA); the CEO of the UAE capital’s biggest developer Aldar Properties; and the chairman of Miral Asset Management, which leads the development of the emirate’s iconic Yas Island. Al Mubarak is also chairman of Aldar Academies, one of the largest providers of private education in Abu Dhabi, and chairman of TV content producer Image Nation Abu Dhabi. Despite his various hats, Al Mubarak is deeply involved in each of the organisations, and is focussed on marking Abu Dhabi’s place on the global tourism map. He has played a particularly key role in developing and promoting Yas Island, which now includes attractions such as Ferrari World, the F1 circuit, Yas Waterworld and Yas Marina, among others.
