One of the UAE’s most powerful businesswomen Dr Rustamani witnessed her brainchild Dubai Design District (d3) become one of the most flourishing business hubs of 2016. As group CEO of the Tecom Group, she also oversaw the launch of Dubai Wholesale City to boost the emirate’s position as a global hub for wholesale trade. Within the Wholesale City is Dubai Industrial Park, where Rustamani helped inaugurate Unilever’s new manufacturing plant, the region’s largest for personal care products. She also sits on a number of boards across both the public and private sectors, including the National Media Council and Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI).
